design philosophy
SAA is a firm concerned with creativity and the economics of designing and making architecture. While we embrace the changing ground of architecture theory, we practice an architecture concerned with history, technology, innovation, aesthetics, construction, engineering, and real estate. We look for solutions that embrace the entire scope of problems and attributes presented by a project. This includes the site, program, branding, budget, and cultural, environmental, and economic issues. Our solutions are considerate of our client’s physical needs and budget constraints, and the need to make excellent architecture and design. Our interest and expertise in these varied areas sets us apart from practices concerned only with style or academia.
SAA endeavors to use and develop construction technologies and means of production that will produce innovative architectural forms and streamline the design and construction process. The goal is to create new systems of cost combining that will be a model for the profession.
